Now a PhD candidate and former Editor-in-Chief of Threshold Quarterly, she holds an MA in English Literature from SBU, Tehran, where she has also worked as instructor, research assistant and journalist. She has authored Image/Text Semiotics (LAP, 2010) and been the Editor-at-Large of Asymptote Journal for a while.
She holds an MA in English Literature from Loyola University, Chicago. She has over ten years of experience in literary translation and research. Her interests include interdisciplinary studies in modern and contemporary literature and visual arts, critical theory, Persian literature, and creative writing. Born and raised in Iran, she moved to the U.S. in 2010 to attend graduate school.

A published translator, she holds an MA in English literature and is currently a PhD candidate in Comparative Literature at the University of Alberta, Edmonton.
