
Mansour Koushan, Iranian writer and poet passed away today (February 16) in Norway at age 65 having suffered from cancer, ISNA reports.
Born on 26 December, 1948, Koushan was a poet, writer, researcher, journalist and winner of a number of Iranian and international awards including Iran Theater House Festival’s award for a work written on Ibsen (2009) and the Ossietzky Prize (2010).
His novels, mostly published abroad, include: The Forgotten Women, Mute Mouth, The Trinity of Magic, Devil’s Loves, The Mystery of the Porch, Earthly Manners and The Interlunar.
